The recipe of Carmarthen Ham has been handed down from generation to generation, the family legend being that when the Romans came to Wales and settled in Carmarthen, they stole the recipe and returned to Italy, renaming it Parma Ham!

Carmarthen hams are cured in the traditional Welsh farmhouse way under controlled temperature conditions and then air dried to mature. Sliced very thinly and pre-packed for convenience - it can be served in many ways, the most popular being as a starter with melon.
